Bmw’s roots goes all the way back to where it first started in 1916 with Karl Rapp and Gustav Otto. First known as the Flugmaschinenfabrik Gustav Otto company had turned into Bayerishce Flugzeug-Werke Ag (BFW) at government behest. Some where else is he Rapp Motorenwke company which became Bayerische Motoren Werke GmbH, wich was turned into an AG in 1918. The founding of BFW in March 7, 1916, has gone down in history as the foundation date of Bayerische Motoren Werke AG. In 1917 is where the company displayed its new BMW emblem into each one of their products and made its first appearance in the company’s first advertising as a rotating propeller in the 1920’s.
