The History of Pizza Hut
0375983500Two brothers from Kansas founded Pizza Hut in 1958. The $600 start-up money was borrowed from their mother, the equipment was secondhand and the furnishings of the restaurant, which was located at a busy crossroads at the center of Wichita, Kansas, were very modest, But brothers Frank and Dan Carney hit a bull’s eye in 1958 when they opened their first pizza restaurant, which they called “Pizza Hut”, referring to the rather inconspicuous building. Today, more than 50 years later, there are more than 13,000 Pizza Huts in over 100 countries worldwide. A success story that is proof of the good hunch of the two brothers, college students at the time, who followed up on a suggestion made by a friend of the family and believed in a gastronomy concept still relatively unknown in America at that time.

It wasn’t long before Pizza Hut became a registered trademark and the first franchisees were found. Only ten years after the grand opening in Wichita, more than one million guests had been welcomed in 310 restaurants and with a first branch in Canada, the conquest of the international market had begun. A little later, in 1969, the red roof was introduced as the company logo, which was soon to become world famous as an easily recognized guarantee of crispy pizza, delicious pasta and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere.

All their pizza’s include their special blend of tomato ; herb pizza sauce ; mozzarella cheese, and are made with the original Debonairs Pizza bases.

When they cut one of their pizza’s into shape there are small amounts of dough off-cuts. Through the Dough nation initiative, all the off-cuts of dough that remain after making their delicious pizza bases are collected and baked into flat loaf breads.

Pizza hut has a Premium positioning in a customer’s mind because it was the first Restaurant to start a pizza franchise in India.
The promotions and brands of pizza hut is better than their competitors because their food has so much fresh ingredients in that they tend to stand out quit well.
Another strength of Pizza hut is all of the Italian food that they have for the customers who loves Italian food.

The pizza and pasta range is excellent and Pizza hut has an excellent Italian meal, it is quite true that you cannot have any better Italian food than theirs.Their food has a high quality and so has the ambiance in any Pizza hut restaurant worldwide.

The brand has an excellent presence online and offline with Pizza hut delivery giving home delivery and Pizza hut also having an online ordering system for its pizza, this helps the working moms a lot when it is too late to start making food so she can just other online.

Weaknesses:
Pizza hut doesn’t have home deliveries worldwide.

Another weakness of Pizza hut is that the taste of their pizzas was there since they began the business and customers want a different taste after all these years.

That is why pizza hut needs to keep inventing.

Opportunities:
The best opportunity for pizza hut is to further their expansion of the food range that means that they have to create more special products that no one else has.

We all are waiting for a mcspicy type pizza to be served in PIZZA hut restaurants.
They can spread out to more towns and places al around the world.

A Pizza hut delivery can be started as soon as possible so that Pizza hut remains in competition with Dominos.

Threads:
Dominos is a major threat to pizza hut when we are comparing them.

Dominos doesn’t have such a high quality food variety like pizza hut, but Dominos is present in most places where Pizza hut is not.

Another treat is all the franchises and food companies that are in today’s world.

McDonalds as well as KFC and any other franchise are indirect competitors who can take away Pizza huts customers.

More and more people are getting very fitness caucus and are watching what they eat and when they eat so this can be a treat for Pizza hut.

Has a very good advertisement, like a good logo and phrase for their company.

Has a wide range of franchises in Africa.

Has quick service and has a good menu of great food.

They are very affordable for any one.

They have a healthy variety of food on their menu.

Weaknesses:
When they have a lot of franchises they tend to have a lot of trouble with the money.

They do not train every worker so they will lose customers because of that.

They have too many deliveries and not enough sitting places.

Opportunities:
Expanding their markets will develop the franchise even more.
Strengthening its will help debonairs to develop.

They have to develop a menu for the people who wants to watch what they eat.

Threats:
McDonalds as well as KFC and any other franchise are indirect competitors who can take away debonairs customers.

If the costs of vegetables go up the price of the pizza will also go up.

Conclusion:I as an teenager feels that Pizza hut is an more successful trademark around the world because Pizza hut is an worldwide franchise and Debonairs is only in parts of the world. Debonairs is very popular in Africa but worldwide they are not even known.

How can Debonairs improve themselves:I feel that debonairs has to focus on going worldwide with their franchises and that they have to focus on making their menu more healthy and fresh. To do that they have to do a lot of marketing over sea to get people to open their franchise there. To do that they have to focus on what the market wants. To also do that they can start home deleveries. They can also start a drive through in their franchises.
