HDMI is a video standard created in the early 2000’s which has supports 1080p High Definition (HD) and 2 channel (stereo) audio. It’s a plug and play standard, which means there’s no special drivers to install and no fiddling to get it to work. You simply power down your Pi, plug either end of an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your Pi, and the other into the HDMI port on your display. fig 1.8:lcdconnet3.6IR Camera IR camera is also connect with raspberry pi.

Shown in fig (1.9)IR camera connection procedureUsing the camera software Once your Raspberry Pi computer has rebooted, you can login again and run the camera software to take photographs or record video. 1. Recording a simple video pi@raspberrypi ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspivid –o file.h264 Please note that when recording video the camera module will not record any sound – this unit will only capture HD video images only. 4. Taking some time lapsed images (in this case the images are 30ms apart) pi@raspberrypi ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam –tl 30 –o file%d.

jpg Note the filename – the %d will be replaced with an integer (creating file1.jpg, file2.jpg etc). This software will continue taking images until you press ‘CTRL-C’ to terminate the program.

5. Using the image effects when taking photographs or capturing video This command will take a picture in ‘negative’ pi@raspberrypi $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam –ifx negative –o negative_image.jpg.For a full list of image effects when taking photographs type: pi@raspberrypi ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam To read the help screen and all available command line options. There are two options we need to set before we start installing the camera software.1. Expand the filesystem to fill the SD card 2.

Set the memory split to allocate 128 Meg to the GPU 3. IR lights is connect with fog lights connection.

We can fixed it on car headlights. When we on the fog lights the IR lights is also on. IR LEDs allow for cheap, efficient production of infrared light, which is electromagnetic radiation in the 700 nm to 1mm range.

Shown in fig(1.11)The most commonly used IR emitters are 850nm and those will glow a visible red color. The less common IR emitters are 940nm and you have to use special IR cameras with the 940nm emitters because most IR capable camera are calibrated for the 840nm emitters. It would probably be illegal to use the 840nm emitters on the front of your car simply because they emit a red light, albeit a narrow beam of red light that is very dim. It is still a red light emitted out the front of your car and every US state I know of would forbid that. That aside, the effective range of IR emitters is about 50% of the advertised “claimed” range of the emitters, from my experience.

I have some IR flood lamps on my property, some have claimed ranges of 450 feet, however the emitter array is about 4″ by 8″ and that is considerably larger than a typical set of fog lamps. further they have an actual useful range of about 200 to 250 feet.
