Character Name: Lady Macbeth How would you describe this character? Why? Physical Appearance Based on a YouTube video I watched, she is about 5’6, brown hair, brown eyes, and she looked Caucasian.
There isn’t much describing her in the play. There wasn’t very much description in the play of Lady Macbeth so my description is based off of a video of the scene I watched. Feelings She’s controlling, she likes to lead and often has hallucinations because of her guilt.
Throughout the play you can see that she’s very controlling and she starts feeling guilty because of the murders. Attitude Manipulative and controlling. She manipulated Macbeth into going through with the murders. She’s controlling because she wants to control everything, even Macbeth himself. Character Name: Lennox How would you describe this character? Why? Physical Appearance He is Caucasian with long black hair and about 5’6 I based this off of a video I saw on YouTube again. Feelings He’s suspicious of Macbeth.
He becomes suspicious of Macbeth’s new claim. Attitude Lennox is honest and suspicious. In the play he’s portrayed as honest but he’s also suspicious of Macbeth. Character Name: Ross How would you describe this character? Why? Physical Appearance Short hair, facial hair, short and round. There isn’t anything in the play that really describes him but I did see his character in a video on YouTube. Feelings He believed Macbeth was the thane of cawdor In act 1 scene 3 he brings Macbeth info which is him being the thane of cawdor. Attitude I guess he could be described as ambitious but I think he’s more of just a messenger. He tells Lord Siward that he has been assassinated.
Conflict What? What problems are characters having with other characters, themselves, society, or nature? After Lady Macbeth told the story about what happened with Macbeth at dinner, Lennox and Ross express their feelings about Macbeth. Characters Conflict Experienced How do they respond? Lady Macbeth Ross Lennox The secret activities that Lennox and Ross are doing upset Lady Macbeth. Because she is so upset and angry, she breaks down the door and they eventually say how they feel about Macbeth. Setting Where? Write some words or phrases that will help you describe the setting of your story. Where do the events take place? What does it look like there? What does it feel like there? In a palace with lots of rooms and is very big. Plot When? Plan the course of events in your narrative.
Exposition Rising Action Climax Falling Action Resolution The beginning is in the palace with Lady Macbeth telling Ross about what happened with Macbeth seeing Banquo’s ghost. After Lennox tells Ross the story Lady Macbeth told him, they start to think he’s mentally ill. Lennox and Ross are whispering about something quietly as Lady Macbeth enters the room and she makes them tell her what they were talking about.
After Lady Macbeths exposes what they were talking about, they go into a room to continue their conversation about Macbeth and say how they really feel about him as Lady Macbeth eavesdrops on them. After listening in to how they feel about Macbeth, Lady Macbeth gets upset and breaks down the door and starts screaming at them. Voice How? Think of the overall effect you would like your narrative to have on the reader. How will you create that effect? Brainstorm ways to establish voice.
Point of View: Tone—What is the attitude of your story? Funny and serious Pace—How fast is your story going to move? Words to describe the tone: Humorous How will you communicate that tone? By making some jokes in some scenes. How do you want readers to feel after they read your story? I want them to see how fast a person’s character can change. What pace fits your narrative? Slow Why? It will have more detail if its slower.
How will you create that pace? By starting with the introduction and slowly going through the rest of the scene.
