Dropping an atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki is a historical event that Japanese people will never forget . August 6th, 1945 is the day that the United States of America dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. The bomb was equivalent to twenty thousand tons of TNT. It is estimated that out of 350, 000 people who hailed in Hiroshima city, about 70,000 died on the spot. The attack turned Hiroshima in to a destroyed wasteland thousands of the Japanese people died the bomb was so powerful that it disintegrated people on impact wich is there the atomic bombs shadows come from. Just a few days later a B-29 bomber that was used by the US called the Enola Gay flew over Nagasaki and dropped fat man.

Which was a atomic bomb that flattened the city.In fact the US wanted to drop more bombs on Niiigita and Kokura. The reasons for launching the attacks were Japan to surrender to America as fast as possible in order to reduce the US casualties and to develop the US dominance globally. After the carnage the first few days were spent in fighting off fires caused by the detonations.

At first the Japanese authorities didn’t believe that it was caused by a nuclear weapon so they treated like it was just a bomb no radiation suits or masks.In Hiroshima there was a limited amount of resources, few doctors and people to help. It was hard to treat the wounded and feed the hungry because the lack of basic medical facilities combined with food shortages due to the bomb wiping everything out this meant many more died due to small things. September after the surrender doctors where learning how to treat radiation better.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki showed tremendous resilience because no matter what happens even getting a bomb dropped on the city’s they showed resilience through time because it doesn’t happen overnight it takes months even years to get back to being normal. But the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki really show us to keep on going and stay resilient.
