Imagine being tested on, imagine your skin being torn off alive, imagine being burnt alive, EVERYONE imagine even losing your life, just so that you can satisfy other species. Doesn’t sound fun does it? Good afternoon fellow classmates.
Many of you may ask what is animal cruelty is, Animal cruelty is the act of violence against an animal. Today i stand here before you to tell you how appalling really is and why it MUST be stopped. I will discuss three arguments, the different types of animal cruelty, animal testing and lastly why animal cruelty should be abolished. Lets begin with different types of animal cruelty, there are several types of animal cruelty that people disregard. When you think of animal cruelty you probably think of violence being inflicted against an animal, but that’s only one of many different kinds of animal abuse. People are making animals fight until one dies or is severely injured just for their entertainment, Animals are being slaughtered to make the delicious meals we eat everyday. Animals don’t exist to be eaten or be used for entertainment they deserve a life just as much as us human beings.
Each year, thousands of Greyhounds are killed because they do not have racing potential, or have been injured during a race and no longer competitive, They are being killed simply because they lack the fitness level and are no longer useful to the owner. Animal testing is a large amount of animal cruelty in the world and society doesn’t realise how serious animal testing is. Worldwide statistics show that 22 animals die every second in labs due to animal testing. Why is it that these animals are being killed and we’re doing nothing about it? We seem to think that humans are superior to everyone and we’re the only ones who deserve to live on this planet. Right now millions of mice, rats, cats, dogs and other animals are locked up in small confined cages in laboratories across the world. They are consistently in a state of loneliness and pain, all they can do is wait in fear of the next horrific and painful procedure that will be performed on them next. Animal cruelty is like a disease it just will never stop.
Students now i bring you to my last argument on why animal cruelty should be abolished. Classmates imagine your eyes being blinded, your skin being burnt off your bones your hair being ripped off and your arms and legs being torn apart. In today’s cruel society, there are millions of animals that do not have the privileges that we humans do. Talk about equality, These animals have no say on what happens to them or what they want. Each day, dogs and other animals are fighting ferociously just for Human entertainment and are powerless to refuse.
