Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is one of the types of content theories. It wanted to understand what motivates people. He believed that individuals possess a set of motivation systems unrelated to rewards or unconscious desires. Maslow model is aimed to explain human motivation and employees’ personal development needs. This theory is explained by Maslow pyramid. According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, an individual’s needs are arranged in a hierarchy from the lower-level needs to the higher-level needs. This theory has five stage model can be divided into basic needs physiological, safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization. The physiological needs are generally agreed that the most basic need such as air, food, drink, clothing, and sleep.
