“P.K.” to a thief. That necklace serves

“P.K.” is a 2014 Indian satirical comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and written by Hirani and Abhijat Joshi . It was jointly produce by Hirani anf Vudhu Vinod Chopra undet the banners Rajkumar Hirani Film and Vinod Chopra Films respectively. The film received eight nominations at the 60th Film fare Awards winning two. Additionally, it won five Producers Guild Film Awards, and two Screen Awards . “P.K.” gathered the Telstra . People’s choice award at the India Film Festival of Melbourne. The stars of the films are Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sanjay Dutt.
The film follows an alien who came to earth on a research mission, but losses his necklace to a thief. That necklace serves as his remote to his spaceship. Later on the thief sells his remote to a god man that claims that his remote was Buddha’s bead. He starts to travel to find his remote and he befriend a television journalist and in his religious dogmas and superstitious. Unlike other films, “P. K” shows the other side of religion. We are all created by one God but we have different religions. These religions separate the human from each other. It serves as barrier to their social interaction because some practice is not allowed in other religions.
The movie explained that religions are all about fashion, that serves as the identity to know your religion. In this movie bad sides of religion are shown. People that manage the temples use the religion as business. They use religion to earn money.
This film has taught different lessons. Believe in God but not in God managers. We must not judge a person automatically because of his religion. For instance, a Muslim, we must not judge them as a terrorist because of what they wear. People have different faith and we must learn to respect them. Religion does not always reflect the character of a person. Religions must not be a barrier to the persons’ love for each other. It does not matter of your religions are different as long as you respect each other. This film also teaches me to let go of someone I loved for the betterment of her life, because love is a sacrifice. Love is the most important thing in humans and in the world.
“P.K.” is one of the greatest film for me, because it does not only entertain the people but also shows a lot of lessons in life that we can’t find in other movies we have today. This movie must be watched by everyone specially to those who have conflict in their religions. We must learn to respect and love each other despite of having different religions.
