Plagiarism is a sin.
its not just stealing, its bad to take someones hard work and use it as your own. I doesn’t have to be just writing but also it can be a product or something that does not belong to you as it says you can even go to jail by doing it. I’ve heard from some people that even the littlest things can turn into a big disaster, for example say somebody took a screw to a rocket ship an hour later the ship blows up. I have definitely learned about that in the past (not by blowing a ship up). Exodus 20:15 says Thou shall not steal and i do not steal from stores but i did copy somebody’s elses essay and cheated but we all learn from our mistakes right? I’m sure nobody’s proud of this including God, and i know that is a bad thing and i should not have done that.
My aunt always says just because you somebody doing something does not mean you can do it too. I am sure God is not happy about this so i should definitely pray about it tonight, and my aunt is not happy with this but we worked things out and made a deal and i guess that it is fair. In abundant life christian school we would not copy off each others work (most of us) but most of the time me and some other people would find the answers together in the books. I personally think that i have to start finding my own words for an essay instead of just taking somebody else’s. Like now, i’m writing this whole thing BY MYSELF. I forgot to mention that just cheating your way to freedom actually gets in BIG trouble and your just going to have to do it again, and i have done way to many times and i should of known when to stop. Now there’s a difference between cheating in real life and cheating in a video game like some cheat codes or something.
If people here some about somebody plagiarizing there going to think, wow this guy is a thief and he should be thrown in jail and if your that guy there your going to feel bad and know that you did something bad. My aunt told me that everything happens for a reason and i know why i have to type this. Romans 2:21 says, Well then, if you teach others, why don’t you teach yourself? you tell others not to steal but then you do it.
Be ready, I’m going to find some verses about Plagiarism and how i think they inspire me. Leviticus 19:11 says, you are not to steal or lie or deal falsely with your neighbor. Romans 13:9 For the commandments, You must not commit adultery; you must not murder; you must not steal; you must not covet,” and every other commandment are summed up in this statement: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.”
