The communication cycle was first developed, in 1965, by Charles Berner, however, Michael Argyle, one of the most well-known social psychologists in that time, then made alterations to it in 1972 and it became known as Argyles Communication Cycle. Ideas occurThis is the first stage of Argyles Communication Cycle and is when you produce/think of an idea of what you would like to convey which you would have to put into your message.Message codedBefore you can send the message, you must think of a way to effectively say what you’re thinking and only after you have done this you can transform what you’re thinking into a language such as a verbal language or another form of communication like sign language.Message sentThis stage is when you send your message through a method of communication which would be verbally telling them, using sign language to convey the message or another form of communicating.Message received At this stage the person/people you’ve sent the message to should have received it through whatever means of communication that you sent it, for example if you sent it in a text they would have received the message through a text or if you verbally spoke it the would receive the message by listening to you.
