The Walt Disney production was started by Walter Elias who was born on December 5 1901 in Hermosa, Illinois.
He was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. A pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several developments in the production of cartoons. As a film producer, Disney holds the record for most Academy Awards earned by an individual, having won 22 Oscars from 59 nominations. He was presented with two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards and an Emmy Award, among other honours.
Several of his films are included in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.The events that took place for the development of Disney land Following his Red Cross Service, he moved to Kansas City hoping that he will become a newspaper cartoonist. Then he found work in creating advertisement for magazines and movie theatres. After that he moved to the Hollywood and forming Disney Brother Studios with his older siblings Roy.
After producing various short, animated cartoons, the studio started making a series in 1927 about a character Walt had developed called Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Later than he developed the character originally dubbed Mortimer Mouse before it was decided Mickey Mouse due to the loss of his popular creations. Then later the Mickey Mouse was then created in 1928 short filmed title Steamboat Willie one of the cartoon being used for synchronising the sound effect.
The rodent quickly became a star, and soon there were Mickey Mouse Clubs for children as well as merchandise and a comic strip. Then he suddenly develops the interest in working on railroads, and as a teen in Kansas City Walt did a brief stint selling newspapers and snacks on trains. Later he constructed the elaborate modern train sets as a way to unwind from the stress of his job.
In the late 1940s, he built himself a one-eighth scale steam locomotive, and after moving into a new home in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles in 1950 he laid half a mile of tracks around the property for his railroad. In 1953, he hired a research firm to find the optimal southern California location for a large-scale theme park. The construction begins in July 17 1954 and Disneyland opened a year later.
In 1932 he won the academic award and nomination awards. at the fifth Academy Awards ceremony, he earned his inaugural award, in the best short subject (cartoon) category for “Flowers and Trees.” He scored one best picture nomination, for 1964’s “Mary Poppins.” He went on receiving four honorary Oscars including one (handed out in 1932) for creating Mickey Mouse, another (in 1939) for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. The success of the attraction ensures the popularity of the Walt Disney after his death. As the Disney expanded with a new theme park on the east coast Walt Disney resort.
