I have started in Admin Team mainly providing Referencesand supporting the Expences process. During a peak period, I have moved to Onboarding teamto participate in a newly held Contractors process. Systematic work and diligence on the processgave me the opportunity to turn my career into a more senior role as HR Senior Administratora month ago. Thanks to this role, it is not just the Contractor process I am responsible for but alsofor colleagues in my team who I support with advice in other Onboarding processes, helping withoutstanding queries, escalations and participating on calls with business partners.CompanyDixons Carphone Centre of Excellence provides a wide service in departments as HR, Finance,Logistics and IT for the Dixons Carphone Group UK & Ireland and Nordics.In Brno, Dixons Carphone CoE was opened in 2007 supporting the retail business forDixons Carphone which is Europe's leading specialist in electrical and telecommunications retailand services. Brno Dixons Carphone CoE employs over five hundred employees from more than28 various countries. One of the strongest values of Dixons Carphone is ''We believe anythingis possible!''Three HR Activities Supporting Organisation's StrategyHuman Resources is indispensable in many of professional activities for each organisation. It is thekey piece in achieving organisation's objectives. In general, the pivotal role that HR has to play inworking with others to devise strategy, integrate responsible business practices and engageemployees with the organisation’s values and o bjectives. I have decided to focus on three specificareas.Recruitment and SelectionOne of the most important activities which Human Resources carries out is to ensure that 'the rightpeople with the right skills are employed at the right time and in the right place' by the organisation .It is the core activity for the business as HR recruiters focus on the most effective methods forrecruiting new employees who are the best suited to the organization's needs. They advertise jobpostings, making interviews and work closely with managers who responsible for making the finalselection of candidates. This leads to considering the cost and benefits of recruiting new employeesand working with budget to save money to the organisation. In general, Human Resources developsand implements recruitment strategies and organisation's needs.ComplianceThe vital and crucial function Human Resources has is to comply with labour and employment lawsbecause the legal framework helps in supporting and regulating the formal employment relationshipbetween employers and employees. To achieve this HR department ensures to comply with fairemployment practices, safe working conditions to prevent general employees' dissatisfaction whichcould lead to affecting productivity and sooner or later the profitability of the business. Therefore,the HR department's key value is the knowledge of state's employment regulations and laws. Theyneed to avoid discrimination and bring the value of equality from the first steps from interviewingpotentional candidates through hiring to the following workplace. Keeping and storing necessarydocuments, such as contracts, RTW documents is the integral part of the HR deparment as well.Also creating and implementing business policies and procedures for all employees and for thebusiness itself. The crucial message is that strict compliance management can help the organisationto avoid possible lawsuits.role of introducing our values to anyone who may join us and ensuring that all our people policiesand practices reinforce our values.3 waysEmployee SatisfactionEmployee relations specialists in HR help the organization achieve high performance, morale and satisfaction levels throughout the workforce, by creating ways to strengthen the employer-employee relationship. They administer employee opinion surveys, conduct focus groups and seek employee input regarding job satisfaction and ways the employer can sustain good working relationships.We believe that HR has a unique role to play in getting the organisation to go beyond its traditionalresponsibilities and focus on reducing its negative impact on the environment, society and theeconomy. A strategy cannot be fulfilled without a culture to support it. Therefore, we see HR’sbiggest contribution to organisational sustainability around building a culture where everyemployee understands and contributes to all three facets of the triple bottom line, while proactivelyseeking new ways to make a sustainable and positive impact on the local and global community.This involves integrating the organisation’s purpose and values with everything employees do,creating effective partnerships with all stakeholders of the business and translating policies intopractice.
