Values and Norms are both in our daily lives usually when interacting with others. Values are determined by our ???standards?. People decide what is good or bad.
As people get older, not only our appearance changes but so do our values and perception. People have a sense of values and personal preferences; yet, it gets hidden under social expectations. Values only become important to us when our basic necessities are already met. People are identified, by norms, how we should or should not behave in various ways with rules and expectations. Some people learn from a young age, but most pick it up.
Values and Norms of a society possibly have conflicts. Our human behavior is not determined by genes. Genes are changed by social expectations.
Humans are not prisoners of our genes because we develop our values and expectations of living when entering social expectations.
