When it comes to future tech computers are usually needed so what about the future in computers themselves such as quantum computers, bendable mobile devices, see thru screens, eco friendly hard drives, and a twist on putting pen to paper. These ideas are being designed as this is written with all makes you think what will the future look like? And with that let’s dive right in!Quantum computer sounds like a high powered super weapon right? Well, actually quantum computers perform the same calculations as a traditional computer, but with a different method. Classical computer algorithms are confined to ones and zeros which are required be separate. In quantum computing, a qubit or quantum bit is the basic unit of quantum information, the quantum version of the classical binary bit physically realized with a two-state device, so it can be both one and zeros simultaneously unfortunately creating qubits requires colossal feats of engineering, such as creating extremely conductive circuits kept at temperatures only just above absolute zero. The Slightest vibrations or the lightest Changes in temperature risk the any of the qubits to lose their weak quantum state or in short they’ll Decohere.
When happens errors will quickly appear in calculations. All together quantum computers are not yet ready for the spotlight Another more a publicly known concept is bendable mobile devices. Even though Companies like Samsung, Nokia, and even Apple have been working on flexible smartphone displays for a year, it’s only recently that there’s enough actual development and research to get at least a little excited. One of the biggest challenges with a flexible phone is getting the cover glass to bend and it’s a common misconception that bendable glass isn’t breakable. The glass that belongs on the inside of a smartphone so it isn’t strong enough to be used on the outside of the phone. But don’t get too eager,Willow Glass isn’t quite up for grabs, screens have nothing to attach to yet, and smartphones that move like cloth aren’t coming for a while Now we come to Transparent OLED screens which are a stunning new advancement in digital display via a transparent surface. Viewers can see what is shown on the screen whilst still seeing through it.
This display solution allows designers to overlay digital content such as text, web-pages,and video onto IRL objects seen on the other side of the screen. OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode, a technology which eliminates the need for a back light or enclosure which is helpful since normal Transparent LCD screens require back lighting, OLED screens are made up of millions of pixels that each emit their own individual light. This opens up a whole new field of creativity in digital signage that even LCD screens cannot offer; such as OLED screens display black content as transparent instead of white content. This puts a new spin on merchandising processes, offering a way to create an imaginative way to communicate with their audience.
Now u guys were probably wondering what i meant by eco friendly. Designed by Luis Luna the O-project is a PC concept has a host of eco-friendly features. Its skin composed of polymers got from cornstarch and bamboo witch of course are biodegradable, but its other elements can be returned to the manufacturer for recycling when the model gets obsolete. Now this doesn’t sound like a big deal in reality these project need a lot of research to make it just right. Dell also is working on a flat computer more commonly titled as Froot it was designed by Paulina Carols who unveiled his idea for the Dell Regeneration Green Computing technology Contest. The USP of this computer is made entirely of bio-products.
user-friendly designed using high end laser projection technology as well as onboard CD drives, this wonder doesn’t need a monitor keyboard or even a mouse instead they are each projected displays with unique sensors. Furthermore with its body being carved from biodegradable polymers, the computer not just gets a creative look but also can be recycled and like the O-project the electrical parts can be returned to a factory instead of being thrown away.
